12TH ANNUAL STATE OF EDUCATION CONFERENCE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA 9/13/19

Be THE Voice executive director Debbie Cwalina was honored to serve as a panelist this year where she was able to share the positive impact BTV has made with key school representatives throughout Georgia.  The conference focus was on social & emotional learning with the keynote Speaker (Kimberly A. Schonert-Reichl) reviewing groundbreaking research that demonstrated the importance of promoting students’ social & emotional competence.  Ms. Schonert-Reichl shared strategies that translate research into practice and highlighted why explicit and intentional promotion of students? social and emotional competence in school is necessary for the future of education.  Be THE Voice is considered a viable SEL option for schools looking to develop students’ soft skills.
